René has completed his law studies at the Escuela Libre de Derecho. Throughout his career, he enjoyed the scholarship of excellence granted by Fundación Fausto Rico Álvarez, I.A.P.

He participated in the elaboration of the book La Construcción Jurisprudencial del Derecho Internacional Humanizado. Votes in the International Court of Justice 2009-2020 by the judge of the International Court of Justice, Dr. Antônio Augusto Cançado Trindade, under the direction of the current counselor of the Federal Judiciary, Loretta Ortiz Ahlf.

He was a member of the team representing the Escuela Libre de Derecho in the 28th edition of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
