Lawyer specialized in strategic, administrative and constitutional litigation, with broad experience in regulatory and antitrust law. He has led the design and execution of high impact litigation in environmental, energy, anti-corruption and, in general, administrative matters, against authorities of different levels of government. He has also focused his practice on amparo against laws and regulatory rules.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Gerardo has collaborated as an associate in the international firms Hogan Lovells BSTL and White & Case. He is co-founder of Consejo Nacional de Litigio Estratégico, A.C. and served as legal director at Mexicanos contra la Corrupción y la Impunidad (MCCI) from 2017 to 2021.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
He is a lawyer by the Escuela Libre de Derecho. He has a master's degree in Financial Law Institutions from Universidad Panamericana.
He has published specialized and opinion articles in Letras Libres, Nexos, Excélsior, Animal Político, El Mundo del Abogado, among others. In addition, he has participated in numerous national and foreign media, in relation to high-impact legal proceedings, reforms and other relevant legal phenomena.
He has been a lecturer, panelist and speaker in various forums organized by government agencies, business leaders, bar associations, private companies and universities on topics related to strategic litigation, anti-corruption, human rights and amparo proceedings.
He is currently a professor of the Master's Degree in Anticorruption offered by the School of Government and Economics of the Universidad Panamericana.
